What is Nival Charity?

The Nival Charity program aims to provide underprivileged and orphaned children in Vietnam with the opportunity to experience rock climbing, a sport that can change their perspective and build their self-confidence.

Through our actions, we have seen the direct impact that climbing can have on the lives of these young people.

Supporting Nival is much more than buying clothes: it is contributing to a supportive and committed project.

Climbing has given us a lot, we have simply found a way to redistribute what has been given to us.

The first campaign was a success thanks to you! 25 orphans from the PERLS association (RNA: W751250944) were able to try bouldering at the Vertical Academy gym in Ho Chi Minh City in February 2022!

The initiative was repeated with the association Coup de pouce (RNA: W595024149) which helps orphans and children from disadvantaged families in Hanoi. Twenty-five children climbed in the VietClimb room!

A new event with the Vietnamese association Maison Chance took place on September 17, 2022! The NGO helps street children, orphans and people with disabilities in Vietnam.

We organized the fourth event on February 4, 2023 with the children of Dieu Giac orphanage at Vertical Academy.

Our big project 2024

We are embarking on a crazy project: building a climbing room within the social center of the NGO Maison Chance in Vietnam.

This ambitious project provides more than 200 children who benefit from the NGO with a unique opportunity to discover and practice climbing regularly.

This project was fully funded by Nival and its community.

Code name: Vertical Chance

The realization of the project

• 11/05: Since the end of April, we have been in Saigon to supervise the construction of the climbing gym. We visited the gym and signed the contract with the builder who ordered the materials needed to build the gym. 72 m², that is the climbing surface that will be built and financed by the Nival frocks!

• 22/05: We decided to break the ceiling to make higher walls! The climbing surface will increase to more than 90 m². The workers are currently installing the entire metal structure.

• 28/05: The steel structure is installed. We can now imagine the curves and inclinations of the different walls. We have started to aim the wooden plates. The room is taking shape!

• 01/06: The wooden panels have all been installed. There are still some finishing touches to be done as soon as the glue has finished drying. The next step will be painting!

• 05/06: We decided to paint the climbing room in the colors of the official walls of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The first coat is applied!

• 06/14: That's it! The climbing room is finished. We opened several blocks with holds generously donated by InoHolds, Volx, Expression Holds, Digital Climbing and SUPR. The result is magnificent. The inauguration with the children is scheduled for July 2nd. We can't wait to show them their new playground!

• 03/07: We inaugurated the climbing room with a group of children who benefit from Maison Chance. It was a very emotional moment, they had never climbed but were doing extremely well! We are preparing a video for you to retrace this adventure that we succeeded thanks to you, thank you again for them.

• The rest: we need to take a step back, it will take us a little time to realize what we have done together. We put a lot of heart and energy into it. We also know that it is not finished, following up over several years is our goal. Dreaming is allowed, maybe one day we will see one of the children on an international circuit…

A word from Baptiste Rouch

This year, we built a climbing gym within an NGO in Vietnam, entirely funded by our pants. It’s a bold decision for a startup at our stage. Yet, it reflects Nival’s core values: self-improvement, commitment and sharing.

To become a reference in technical climbing clothing, our devotion to the discipline and the social impact that we can have over time must match our ambitions.

My adoption in Vietnam at the age of 15 months by my French parents conditioned the adventure that we are offering you today with Nival.
